Ninja Bear #2 was finished a year later. I had an inkling that I was going to do this for a while, but I wasn't exactly sure what would happen. So, I wrapped up the Stay as you are. storyline, gave Ninja Bear a new friend, introduced a shadowy cabal of mysterious villains whose boss remains unseen, then had Ninja Bear wander around a bit encountering diversions. It's expanding the world a bit while I'm killing time, figuring out where it's all going.

I also figured that I would start subverting Japanese ninja and samurai movie plots, and go against any traditional storytelling tropes, really. Because I don't like to do things normal, that's why.

I also divided up the episodes with title cards, which led to my favourite page, a recreation of the Seven Samurai movie poster. If you're familiar with it and the movie, the character on the very left is the best part. I also love the stupid pun using the director Akira Kurosawa's name. Such a dad joke, if your dad made jokes about classic Japanese cinema. Maybe yours didn't, and neither did mine, but my son's does.
